Lightbringer for monks in DoA is...STUPID( IMHO)
ok so i recently finished NF on my monk (yay me) and wanted to do DoA cus i was sick of everythign else... so i decided to go check it ou. when i get there" LF HB monk wit rank 8 LB"......i pmed the person asking why they wanted lb when they should be wante Sunspear due to seed of life ( now remember this is just what i think) they said because it reduces damage. so i went and checked out my rank 2 lightbringer title and it said reduces damage by 1 per rank from i think margonites.
so my question is that 8 damage REALLY going to make a difference agianst 100 plus hitting monsters? yes i know you guys might say on the RARE occasion it might happen were you get hit and only have 1 health left....now how often does this really happen were you get left with one health and while things are still attacking you are you going to get a heal off in time to heal yourself for 100 plus?.....
im sorry but this just seems idiotic.
remember folks... in my honest opinion this is.

It's more an indication of experience, but most groups lately don't seem to get that, they /cry if a person is not 10/8.

imo if a team (even a guildie group) has to rely that much on LB/Norn titles to complete n area like DoA, then tbh i think there's somethin wrong with the team :/
if a team is gd, they can do it with rank1 on both titles tbh.
So imo, title's just makes gd teams have it slightly easier, bad teams will still suck in the end.

The higher rank you have in the titles the faster the run goes. That is what it is about.
Ofc for a monk this doesn't count and the rank requirements on monk are quite bad in my opinnion.

Any help is good. So, If you got to choice between a r1 monk and a r8 one.. what would you do? I think it's obvious. And, a lot of times, as someone has said before in that thread, indicated experience. Maybe non accurate, but yes with the thing that has spent several hours in the game with one idea and has gone for it.
I'm saying this because it may perfectly indicates that the r8 has been reached through jurundu OR making a lot of DoAs, which if it's even a small chance to be the second, I'd go for it and imo would rather the chance.
S.
I hope nobody'll talk about ursaans for non r8... 'cause the damage is QUITE DIFFERENT.

It's all they have to determine who knows what they're doing. In your case, it was just as well since you aren't experienced in DoA.

No actually it's 1, and it's +5% dmg per rank...
but for DoA HB monks should really have R10 SS

LB rank in DoA is like Hero rank in HA... it's not an accurate measure of skill, but until GW comes out with a "Pro at DoA" title, it's the best measure available.

AI works so that they attack lowest HP enemy, and when Ursan gives +200, monks are lowest, with cons set -13 dmg and immune to crits helps.

I have max LB and SS on my Monk, both from wurm grinding during the double points weekend. I have, however, never done DoA, so I would probably not be the best choice, despite my titles. They prove very little, IMO.
